Great question, what drives your organic ranking, and how do I get to the number one organic rank position? Unfortunately, Google doesn’t publish a white paper on “Organic ranking, own the number one position”, well, at least not yet.
Truthfully, it’s a big mystery, no one really has definitive answer, although I’m fairly certain Google does.
Recently Google announced changes to its algorithmic formulae that will impact its search engines. A move that was implemented to improve overall search results. The full article you can find “Google declares War on Content Farms”, by Stan Schroeder.
Content Farms are basically low quality content sites, that try to attract Google search traffic by having large amounts of low quality information on a website and thereby getting paid through the Google search network.
Google is still the number one way people search on the Internet and these changes will ensure that you find what you want, when you want it. The idea is put an end the process of providing content for content sake.

In any event, these are just few of the considerations. Let’s keep in mind that improving your organic rank has as much to do with your keywords and key phrases as anything else, and it never hurts to have your URL match your search keywords.
The take away on this, is that Google is still evolving, ensuring at every step that you the user can find what you want, when you want it. Fact is, that just doesn’t happen everyday, now does it?
